| Baby Name Wizard Information in Q&A |
Has anyone got the Baby Name Wizard? if so, could you look up the sibling names it suggests for 'Ivy'
or if you haven't, I'd love to hear your suggestions instead.
Thanks! Suspicion Bells replied: "Sorry, I don't, but I have to say - when I first saw this I thought you were calling your baby Wizard =p"
iV replied: "I wish I did! The sad thing is that I would get some very strange looks off my parents and friends if I had a baby name book... seeing as I'm still a teenager and not pregnant.
The next best thing you can do to find sibling names for Ivy (which is one of my favourite girls names!) is use Nymbler or Namipedia. Nymbler is an internet based tool that suggests names according to your own personal taste. Namipedia is like a wikipedia for names, and sibling names are listed. Here are the links-
Among the names suggested by Nymbler are: Lily, Iris, Ada, Hazel, Lydia, Willa, Nina, Eve, Chloe, Violet, Daisy, Anna, Simon, Henry, Eli, Milo, Julian, Elias, and Jasper."
mizgen1 replied: "I would like to have Eden or Abbey for female siblings or Benjamin or Austin for a male sibling."
busybee replied: "The Wizard says...
Phoebe, Hope, Iris, Eva, Cleo
Eli, Miles, Ezra, Hugo, Jasper"
♥TiTi♥ replied: "Lily" Does anyone have Baby Name Wizard? If so, could you look these up? I would love to know what BNW says about my favorite names. Thanks a bunch in advance!
Girls: Aubrey, Camryn, Kailey
Boys: Conner, Nolan, Caleb emmanueldodoo37 replied: "that cute"
Natasha Ione O'Malley replied: "I know someone would have a baby name wizard. There is one on the internet." Have you used this Baby Name Wizard? I've had pretty lousy results using computer-generated baby name suggestions.
But when I used this one, I just put in 3 names I liked (not even my favorites) and it suggested 30 more names I might like. Most of the names on my name list came up, and the majority of the other names are ones I'm considering for middle names. Nothing I hated came up.
I was like, "Woah, how did you know???"
Does it work this well for everyone else or are my name choices just completely predictable?
Hmm you're right ... if you put in really rare or unusual names, all it does is suggest stuff like Savannah and Paige! It's Twins! Baby # 2 & 3 replied: "It worked well for me too. Thanks for the link"
Lou replied: "Some of the names I got up were on my list
But I hated some of them as well
I think it goes by what people who liked the same names as you liked which makes more sense than getting a load of names that sound similar or have the same meaning."
Honey replied: "i tried it and it seems to be giving the most popular baby names with an excpetion of one or two names. I tried it several times with the names that I like which are not popular at all and it came back with the same names everytime, and i did not like them."
Brenda replied: "This was not accurate for me. It just gave all the most popular names, which is not my taste at all. The boys names results were slightly better than the girls. The girls were all gag."
SeaEff replied: "The answers I got were predictable, so I completely changed the names and got the same results."
{Rachel} replied: "For me it just listed the most popular baby names, and the names I put in were not popular at all. : ("
Myliegh L replied: "I put in three of my kids' names, and the list it brought up was dead on with my taste. Almost every name on the list was a name that I had thought about at time or another.
Oddly though, my fourth child's name didn't come up."
blank replied: "It worked well for me."
Nina Lee replied: "I LOVE that book!!! It is the only baby naming book that I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone expecting and undecided on a name!!!!
I was surprised to see that my boys names were suggested as sibling names... 'after' I had picked them out!
I've never seen this link before though, thanks for sharing!!!
Ooops, I thought you were talking about the book, here's the book I'm referring to:"
Noelle replied: "It's ok. Pretty neat. I put my 3 favorite boys names in (Jason, Donovan and Nathan) and one of it's suggestions was my 4th favorite boys name (Gavin)! I tried more unused names also and I still got pretty common stuff. It's a neat link though. =)"
Elyse's Mommy ♥ replied: "Pretty interesting. I put in a name we have in mind if we were to have another girl some day and it gave me my daughter's name as a suggestion. LOL!"
♥Tom♥ (I'm a Girl) replied: "I said Sarah, Leah, & Grace it gave me (i asked for girl names)

Twlight.Me (Nyx) replied: "hmm... sorry, no
I entered 3 sets of names, and checked each set with all three categories... The majority of the names from the first 2 sets were ones that I wouldn't use and am not fond of (not saying that they are bad names, but they don't suit my style...). The third set was names of my two son's and a name I would have used for a daughter... and about half of the names were on my favorite list already, but nothing new or interesting... and the rest of the names were way off again...
Glad that you had a success... I'll stick to the old fashioned way of reading the sites and skimming from name to name :-)" Has anyone seen the Baby Name Wizard? If you like baby names you'll love this!
